By Mike DeVader, Reinhardt Director of Athletic Communications & Media
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The 2021 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) men's lacrosse awards had a major Reinhardt flavor to them as three Eagles – Gavin Banks (Player of the Year), Zane Anderson (Offensive Player of the Year) and John Snow (Coach of the Year) headlined the accolades released by league office on Tuesday.
In total, the hometown team (12-0) gathered 14 postseason awards, including seven players being named First Team All-AAC and four more garnering Second Team All-AAC nods from the conference coaches.

So far this season, Banks has tallied 45 goals and dished out six assists. Additionally, he racked up 24 ground balls and caused five turnovers.
The Dallas, Ga., native ranks second in the NAIA in total goals (45), third in goals per game (3.75), and 11th in points per game (4.25), while teammate Dillan Bousquet (First Team) is fourth in the nation with 5.09 points each time out.
Reinhardt currently leads the nation in scoring (224 goals; 18.67 per contest), and is tops in the NAIA in scoring defense (50 goals allowed; 4.17 per game). The team has been dominant on both sides of the field thanks to supreme ball possession – which directly correlates to success at the face-off line.
The Eagles are No. 1 in the country at winning faceoffs (.716), primarily due to the efforts of First Team All-AAC member JR Sess, who won 176-of-242 chances (0.727).
