Emphatic Display Lifts Pair of Eagles to National Recognition

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Gavin Banks of Reinhardt has been named the NAIA National Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week and Matt Webb of Reinhardt has been named the NAIA National Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, the NAIA national office in Kansas City, Mo., announced Tuesday.
The duo was chosen out of a pool of conference and group winners for their performances.

Banks was a focal point of the offense last week for the top-ranked Eagles, as the senior gathered 14 combined goals against Madonna (Mich.), No. 2 Indiana Tech and Webber International (Fla.) (eight scores).
He also picked up five ground balls as Reinhardt stayed perfect at 6-0.
Webb – already a three-time winner of this NAIA accolade in 2021 – combined to make 24 saves in three wins last week for No. 1 Reinhardt: at Madonna (Mich.), at No. 2 Indiana Tech and at home against Webber International.
He also picked up seven ground balls on the week.
A trip to Point (Ga.) is next on the slate for Reinhardt on March 23.
