NAIA Defensive Player of the Week: Matt Webb
By Mike DeVader, Reinhardt Director of Athletic Communications & Media
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The accolades keep rolling in for Reinhardt goalie Matt Webb, as the Woodstock, Ga., native – who was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week on Monday – earned national recognition Tuesday as the NAIA Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.
Webb was completely dominant in the cage last Saturday for the Eagles against No. 3 Keiser (Fla.), as the senior goalie surrendered a solo goal early in the game before keeping the Seahawks scoreless the rest of the way for nearly 50 minutes.
In total, he made 13 saves in the victory out of 14 attempts on-goal by Keiser.
