Waleska, GA – The Reinhardt women's volleyball team has been dominating their conference season so far, with a 6-0 record and recording their 5th 3-0 sweep in a row against Brenau University on Tuesday night at home. The final scores were 25-15, 25-21, 27-25.
Reinhardt dominated in all areas of the stat sheet, earning 45 total kills to average a .298 hitting percentage. Giulia Julve was the player of the match as she recorded a double-double, leading the Eagles with 19 kills (.516) and had 13 digs. Jenna Smith followed offensively with 11 killls, while Faith Breitbarth added 5.
Ashlynn Barnes does an amazing job on the floor, leading her offense, earning 40 total assists. Lastly, RU libero, Silvia Aguado, added 9 digs and a service ace.
The Eagles are currently tied for the #1 spot in the AAC with CIU, as both teams remain undefeated thus far. Up next, the Eagles will be traveling to play Tennesee Wesleyan this upcoming Friday, October 4th, at 4:30pm. RU will then make their way to Bryan College to match up against the Lions on Saturday.
