Eagles Bring in Austin Brennan to Lead the Cross Country and Track & Field Programs

Waleska, GA- Reinhardt University announced that they have hired Austin Brennan to coach the Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track & Field programs for Eagles Athletics. Brennan comes in to replace Jordan Turner who had around 18 years at Reinhardt as a student-athlete, admissions counselor, and coach of Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track & Field programs. Most of Turner's time at Reinhardt was as a coach where he did start the Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Teams.

Brennan ran under Coach Turner and was a 2019 graduate of Reinhardt. He was a standout athlete for Reinhardt Athletics and knows what it takes to be an Eagle. Coach Turner has left the Track & Field/Cross Country Program in good hands with Brennan and you can expect for the program to keep rising. Just las spring, David Friedberg, won the NAIA National Championship in the Javelin Throw and this was the first in the program's history.  Coach Brennan will be able to expand on this and get all the programs up to the NAIA Championship level.

Coach Brennan was born and raised in Dacula, Georgia. Went to Dacula High School-Graduated in 2015. Bachelors in Sports Studies with a Minor in Business and Math in 2019. Did a master's program in Coaching with Concordia University-Irvine; I graduated in 2021. I spent 3 years as an Assistant Cross Country/Track & Field Coach at Tennessee Wesleyan University. 

As an athlete at Reinhardt, we won 3 AAC Outdoor Track Conference Championships and 1 AAC Cross Country Conference Championship. Current Marathon Record Holder at Reinhardt.  

Coach Brennan had this to say about the chance to take over the Cross Country and Track & Field programs for Reinhardt Athletics, "I am so thankful that Jeff Pourchier and Dr. Roberts gave me the opportunity to come back to lead my Alma Mater. Coach Jordan Turner was a great mentor for me while I was here, and I can't thank him enough for what he has done for me. I can't wait to build on what Jordan did here."
