RU WVB Season Comes to a Close with Loss in Semi-Finals Match

Kingsport, TN – The Reinhardt women's volleyball team fell short in a 3-1 match versus the Columbia International Rams in the Semi-Finals of the AAC Tournament on Saturday morning. 

Thoughts from Coach B:

"First off I want to say win or lose we always want to give all the honor and glory to God. As far as the conference tournament our team showed some growth and that's all I can ask for as a coach. Throughout this season a match like yesterday we would have fallen when giving up that 2 set lead. Our team found a way to stay together through that adversity and found a way to win! Today we played against a very solid CIU team. I see such a difference in that team since Coach Weiss has taken over. Very talented team but they play more together now, more character and humility! They look the same whether you are making a 5 point run on them or they are on you. We want to wish them all the best as they move forward in their next match and when they head to Nationals to represent our conference!

 Congrats to our girls on a good season. Our conference has gotten stronger and with a lot of new girls I thought they took the season to grow together and it isn't easy winning 20+ matches in a season and I'm proud of them for that. 

 A huge thank you to our parents and fans this season! We had such amazing support and I'm very grateful for that!"

2023-24 RUWVB Season Wrap-Up

 The 2023 Reinhardt volleyball season was an exhilarating journey filled with intense competition, remarkable performances, and unforgettable moments. The team showcased their exceptional skills, determination, and teamwork throughout the season, leaving a lasting impact on both their fans and opponents. The season kicked off with high expectations as the Reinhardt volleyball team aimed to build upon their previous successes. Under the guidance of their experienced coaching staff, the players demonstrated their commitment to excellence from the very beginning.

Throughout the regular season, the team faced formidable opponents, engaging in thrilling matches that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. Their unwavering dedication and relentless effort allowed them to secure numerous victories, showcasing their dominance on the court. The Reinhardt volleyball team's success can be attributed to the exceptional performances of their talented players. Reinhardt had 3 players that dominated the AAC Player of the week awards, with Sarah Sweet with 4 defender of the week awards, Katherine Perrin with 2 Attacker of the week awards, and Ashlynn Barnes with 3 setters of the week awards. Barnes also ended the season, being selected to 1^st team All-Conference team, while Perrin and Sweet were selected to the 2^nd All-Conference team.
