The Eagles Fall to CIU Rams in 3-1 Match
September 24, 2022
Columbia, SC – After overcoming the St. Andrew Knights (3-1) the night before, the Reinhardt women's volleyball team fell to the #22 ranked CIU Rams 3-1. CIU remains undefeated in conference play while Reinhardt are 6-9 overall and 4-2 in the AAC. (1-3; 11-25, 20-25, 28-26, 18-25)
Quote from Coach Goodhind:
- "Awesome environment to play in tonight. Big thank you to CIU and their fans for such a great environment to play in. Have to give credit to the CIU players as they have worked so hard over the last couple of seasons and the hardwork continues to show! What I'm proud of is that we have no business being in that match tonight. On paper, we should've lost 3-0 and I was hoping just to see our girls grow some against really good competition. To my surprise, in set 2 our girls jumped into the match and started to believe. That belief led to a great grind in set 3 that our team fought through some adversity to pull off the upset in the 3rd stanza. I was so proud of their fight tonight! As always I want to give all the praise, honor, and glory to God!"
