EAGLES SWEEP KOALAS ON THE ROAD
Columbia, SC – The Reinhardt Eagles traveled to Columbia College to face the Koalas and earned a quick 3-0 sweep in their 2nd conference match of the season. The Eagles managed to go take out the Koalas and improve to 2-0 in the AAC (3-0; 25-14, 25-19, 25-12).
NOTES:
- Reinhardt University clenches its 2nd straight conference match (4-7, 2-0 AAC) over the Koalas of Columbia College (0-6, 1-0 AAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Reinhardt Eagles took the 1st set 25-14 and outscored the Koalas 25-19 in the 2nd set. With momentum secured, the Eagles earned the sweep 25-12 in the 3rd.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Reinhardt University led in almost every statistical category as a team.
- The Eagles totaled 38 kills for a .196 hitting percentage, as the Koalas of Columbia College were limited to 23 kills and a .014 hitting percentage.
- The Eagles also lead 8–1 in aces, 32–18 in assists, but was out-dug 38-35.
- Individually, Ambria McBride lead the way offensively with 9 kills. Maria Cordova had 16 assists, 5 digs, and 3 service aces. Alma Vazquez Nunez totaled 12 digs and 3 service aces.
