Friedberg and Weddington Lead the Way for the Eagles at KSU Invitational

Kennesaw, Ga. - The Men's and Women's Track & Field Teams participated in the Kennesaw State Invitation this past weekend where they faced top-level competition in all classifications. There were schools from NCAA DI, II, III, and NAIA in attendance so the competition and athleticism at this event was top-notch.

David Friedberg finished in 1st place for javelin as he continues to prove that he is one of the best in collegiate track & field. Friedberg threw 60.65m at this meet.

Trisstan Weddington had an impressive meet competing in the long jump. He finished in 3rd place jumping 7.55m (24' 9.25") which is currently the #1 spot in the NAIA. It was a personal best for him and it is a New School Record!

Coach Turner had this to say about the meet and his teams' performance, "Very solid meet for our entire group that saw us finish a solid 6th of 15 very quality teams on the men's side. A very impressive exciting Long Jump competition propelled both Trisstan and Kerion to personal best and current #1 and #4 Long Jump marks in the NAIA. David continued to show improvement in the Javelin and still holds a top 5 (#5) position in the NAIA rankings. We had 26 of our 32 athletes that competed on the men's and women's teams secure a conference qualifying mark this outdoor season. We look to continue the great momentum from this meet into conference and come back with many conference champions, All-Conference performances, and high team finishes for both our groups."
