Eagles Have Good Run at AAC Indoor Championships
David Finney
Winston-Salem, NC - The Eagles Men's and Women's Indoor Track Teams competed in the AAC Indoor Championships this past Thursday and had a good showing. The Men's team placed third overall and they had a few event champions. The ones that qualified for nationals will be released later this week and they will be competing March 3rd - 5th. The full stats for Reinhardt's results are listed below along with the AAC All-Conference selections.
Here is what Coach Turner had to say about the meet, "Great meet from both our groups and was excited to see us so competitive during this short indoor season. We make it no secret that the indoor portion of our schedule is our preseason leading to outdoor and for the men finishing 3rd is a great result. Each year we had a top 4 finish at the indoor conference, we were able to be very competitive at the outdoor championship so we are on the same trajectory this year. This is by far the most conference champions and All-AAC members we've had from this meet so thrilled for all those that claimed those titles. Our women's group was small, but all three scored for the team and we walked away with our first AAC All-Conference member in program history on that side.
Logan had a great meet and punched his ticket to Indoor nationals in 2 weeks and I expect him to be a little bit better by then as well. 19 of our 23 competing athletes this weekend scored for their team in the team scores so that is what we need to be successful moving forward."
