Hoeddinghuas/Becerra & Sued/Squarcia Dominate in Doubles to Help the Eagles
Knoxville, TN - The Eagles made quick work of the Royals of Johnson on Saturday with the Men's and Women's teams winning both 7-0. All doubles teams and singles from both sides won straight through.
On the women's side, the doubles team of Nina Thomet and Julieta Boerr won 6-0 as the number one team. Taylor Nelson & Elyse Standing won as the number two team and the team of Pilar Becerra & Tayla Kruger won in the third slot.
In singles, Nina Thomet won 6-0, 6-0 in her matches as the number one Eagle. She was followed by Becerra, Standing, Kruger, Lucia Zambrana, and Tiffany le Roux who all won in the 2nd through sixth positions.
For the men, Luciano Fisicaro stayed in the number one spot winning 6-2, 6-1 against his opponent. He was followed by Bruno Squarcia, Nikokai Hansberg, Fede Zeiter, Augustine Siufi, and Mateo Aldaz who all won in the second through sixth positions.
The Women's team is now 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the conference and the Men are currently ranked #24 in the NAIA and they are 5-1 overall with the only loss to NCAA DII Young Harris. The Men are undefeated in the conference at the moment.
Next up for the Men's Team is Montreat on Tuesday and Union on Friday. The Women's Team will be facing Union on Friday as well.
