AAC Women's Soccer Awards Announced
JJ Aalbue of Montreat is the Player of the Year, Eliska Dvorakova of Truett McConnell is the Offensive Player of the Year, Natascha Frei of Tennessee Wesleyan is the Defensive Player of the Year, Natalie Roper of Milligan is the Freshman of the Year, Krista Eik Hardardottir of Tennessee Wesleyan is the Golden Boot winner, and Bryan Walker of Tennessee Wesleyan is the Coach of the Year.
The awards were voted on and selected by the women's soccer coaches of the AAC.
Fourteen players earned a spot on the All-AAC First Team with 14 making the second team. Dozens of players made the grade to earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, while 12 were named to the Champions of Character Team.
For the Reinhardt Eagles, Goalkeeper Sarah Bambrick, Midfielder Marta Vincente Arche, and Defender Sarah Bruce were named to the AAC 1st Team and Midfielder Haley Sturla was named to the 2nd Team All-AAC. Sturla also received the Champions of Character award for the Eagles.
