Waleska, GA – As the regular-season came to an end, the 2023 AAC women's soccer tournament began as Reinhardt was ranked #3 and was set to host the #6 team, the Columbia Koalas, for the Quarterfinals match-up. The Eagles maintained control throughout the entire match to came out on top and won big 4-0.
Goal one came for the Eagles in the 27th minute when Marta Vicente-Arche came up the left side of the field to the baseline to slide the ball over to the middle of the net into a sea of players, and RU's Lidia Herrera was able to kick it past the goal line to earn the first goal of the game. The second goal didn't come until early in the 2nd half, when Herrera earned another goal with an impressive kick from up the middle of the field. Then, RU freshman, Kennedy Vinyard, scored two goals just minutes from one another to earn her first goals as an RU Eagle!!
