Eagles WSOC Earn the 5-0 WIN Over Johnson On Senior Day!!!

Waleska, GA – The Reinhardt women's soccer team played at home versus the Johnson Royals on Saturday afternoon and earned the big 5-0 win over the JU Royals. This match also served as Senior Day in honor of the 2023 Reinhardt soccer seniors. The Eagles honored 7 different seniors which included Marta Vicente-Arche, Ryelyn Wells, Aryn Parrish, Lidia Herrera, Ella Higdon, Lilly Belcher, and Katie Renard. 

 The Eagles got off to a quick start when senior, Marta Vicente-Arche, sent the ball towards the net for Reese Wise to send it on through in the 4^th minute of the game. Just two minutes later, senior, Ryelyn Wells, was able to score RU's second goal. Then the final goal of the first half was a goal by Madeline Myers who received the ball from Haley Sturla in the 16^th minute of the match. Then, in the second half, Ryelyn Wells was able to score another goal for her team with the assists from Sarah Bruce in the 81^st minute. Finally, to clench this 5-0 matchup versus the Royals, Lidia Herrera passed the ball to Brooke Fairchild who was able to kick the ball past the keeper's hands to end the match. 

 RU has now improved their record 9-0-1 in the AAC. The Eagles are still tied with TMU for 1^st in the conference. The next match for the Eagles will be a home match this upcoming Wednesday, October 18^th, versus the Pikeville Bears at 1pm.
