Eagles Hard-Fought Season Comes to an End

Prescott, AZ – The Reinhardt Eagle women's soccer team traveled to Prescott, Arizona to compete in the first-round of the NAIA National Championship. #4 Reinhardt was matching up against #1-seed Missouri Valley. The Reinhardt Eagles' hard play and determination was evident during the entire match but ultimately came up short to the Vikings 3-2. The Vikings came out and scored just 2 minutes into the game, but that didn't phase the Eagles. Carrie Consolino put the ball through the net to tie the match 1-1. Coming out of the second-half, Consolino managed to score another goal, putting the Eagles up 2-1. Missouri Valley answered with 2 goals within just minutes of each other, ultimately clenching the victory. 

While this wasn't the outcome the Eagles wanted, this team has a lot to be proud of with a finishing record to prove it. The Eagles also had 4 different players make 1^st team All-Conference and 3 players make 2^nd team. Reinhardt also had the Defensive Player of the Year in Adriana Garcia. Lastly, the Eagles had a deadly offensive weapon in Carrie Consolino, who was named as Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and received the Golden Boot Award. This team has been exciting to watch and has made Reinhardt very proud.
