Adriana Garcia to Play for Panama’s National Soccer Team
Waleska, GA - Reinhardt Women's Soccer Program is proud to announce that they will have a representative playing for the Panamanian National Soccer Team. Adriana Garcia has been called into Panama's National Team for World Cup Qualifications this week. The team opens the World Cup Qualification tournament with a game on February 17th against Barbados at 8:00 pm. They have a quick turnaround with their second game taking place on February 20th against Belize at 5:00 pm.
Adriana is a junior from Sharpsburg, Georgia, and a graduate of East Coweta High School. She is eligible to play for Panama due to her father being born in Panama. Adriana's path to the Panama National team began with Reinhardt assistant coach Chris Hall putting together a highlight film of Adriana's Reinhardt career and sending it to Panama's coaching staff.
Coach Andy Kaplan had this to say about Adriana's outstanding accomplishment, "Our entire program is very proud of Adriana. She came to Reinhardt as a very talented player. She has worked hard to improve all facets of her game. Perhaps most important, she has become an outstanding defender to complement her exceptional attacking ability."
