Eagles Clinch AAC Regular Season Championship

WALESKA, GEORGIA - Reinhardt finished off theier season with a purpose to excel in the Appalachian Athletic Conference in front of a home crowd on senior night. Transfer Ryelyn Wells charged in with Eagles first goal of the evening, assisted by Lauren Akemon.
The Eagles continued to take control in the first half as Sarah Bruce and Marta Viente-Arche each grasped their lone goals of the match, leading the Eagles 4-0 against the Knights of Kentucky Chrisitian (KY.). Reinhardt wanted to secure their dominace, as Mila Bodin scored, assisted by Jasmine Usher. This goal brought the Eagles to 5-0 as the last whistle blew and secured them the AAC Regular Season championship!
"What a great way to clinch the conference championship."head coach Andy Kaplan said, "All of our seniors played great. The six of them came to Reinhardt after we had a down year. Through their hard work and dedication, they brought our program back to a championship level. All six have had major accomplishments as players and even bigger ones as students at our University.
I am very excited to go into Nationals with these outstanding young women leading us."
After the match, Reinhardt women's soccer celebrated their six seniors (#1 Caroline Johnson, #3 Mary Kate Williamson, #4 Elisabeth Dunlap, #6 Kaylee Hass, #8 Sierra Ruetten, #9 Kaitlyn Lauk) and all the achievements they have attained for the Reinhardt Women's Soccer proram and the Athletic department.
The Eagles look to host the first round of the conference tournament after finishing 14-2 overall and having an undefeated record of 14-0 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
