Johnson's 15 Stops Push Her to Conference Accolades
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – After making 15 saves and helping the Eagles to a pair of wins – at No. 19 Truett McConnell (Ga.) and at home against Milligan (Tenn.) – Caroline Johnson of Reinhardt was chosen as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Today marks the first time this year that Johnson earned such honors.
This is the ninth edition of the awards for the 2021 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Nov. 1.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Caroline Johnson - Sr. - Evans, Ga.
- Recorded 15 saves on the week in picking up two wins.
- Posted 11 saves in a 3-1 win over No. 19 Truett McConnell (Ga.).
- This is her first weekly honor of the season.
