WALESKA, Ga. – Women's soccer rolled to its fourth-straight victory in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) action on Saturday after it was too much to handle for Johnson (Tenn.) in a 6-0 victory at home.
The Eagles are now 4-2 overall – with all of their victories coming in league play.
"Our team continues to develop and make progress towards reaching our potential," head coach Andy Kaplan said. "All 24 players were able to positively contribute to the victory. We were able to work on several phases of our system that will help us for the remainder of the season. The excellent leadership of our three captains – Mary Kate Williamson, Elisabeth Dunlap and Ella Higdon – has positioned us really well for a strong run in conference play."
All six goals were netted in the opening 45 minutes, and all of them were accompanied by an assist as well. Lauren Akemon (from Ryelyn Wells) got Reinhardt on the board early, and then she was followed by Lidia Herrera and Mila Bodin for a 3-0 advantage.
Passes on the aforementioned pair of goals were made by Aryn Parrish and Wells, respectively.
The scoreboard moved to 4-0 following an Ashley Frye connection at 20:32 (from Kira Council), and then in the final five minutes before the break, the Eagles hit the tally sheet twice with Channing Pantano (40:24) and Leah Alexander as the horn sounded.
Both attempts were assisted by Jasmine Usher.
As Reinhardt got to empty the bench for playing time, the squad registered a shot advantage of 21-2.
The club is off until next Wednesday for another home contest – this time against Point (Ga.) – on Sept. 29 against the Skyhawks at 5 p.m.
