Reinhardt University Women's Lacrosse Dominates Truett McConnell in AAC Match-Up
Waleska, Ga. - In an impressive show of skill and teamwork, the Reinhardt University women's lacrosse team secured a commanding victory against the Truett- McConnell Bears on Wednesday at their home ground in Waleska, Ga. The sunny afternoon match concluded with a decisive score of 26-1 in favor of the Eagles, reinforcing their strong position in the AAC conference.
From the very start, Reinhardt set the pace, leading 17-1 by halftime. The team's ability to maintain such intensity throughout the game is a testament to their preparation and spirit. Lainey Byrne led the scoring with a phenomenal four goals, followed by multiple contributions from the team, including Kelsey Sowa and Miranda Petrillo with three goals and several Eagles contributing two goals each. The combined effort highlighted a diverse and potent offense.
Assists were plentiful, with Brinley Christiansen leading with three, showcasing the team's excellent coordination and vision on the field. Goalkeeping duties were expertly handled by Madison Hasty, Katie Musulman, and Audrey Dodge, who together kept the Bears to just one goal throughout the contest. Hasty's performance in the first 15 minutes set a solid foundation with three impressive saves.
