Waleska, Ga. - The Reinhardt University women's lacrosse team dominated Missouri Baptist on Wednesday afternoon, securing a decisive 17-8 victory in their regular-season encounter. The game, held at their home ground in Waleska, GA, saw the Eagles outpace the Spartans under a sunny afternoon sky.
The Eagles led from the start, finishing the first half with a 6-3 lead over the Spartans. The team's offensive efforts were spearheaded by multiple players, with notable performances from Marissa Davis and Brooklyn Hill, each netting two goals, and Brinley Christiansen leading the scorecard with four goals.
Kelsey Sowa's performance was not just effective but historic as she scored her 100th career goal. Sowa ended the game with three goals and two assists, a testament to her enduring skill and a highlight of the game. Defensively, the Eagles were just as formidable. Goalkeeping duties were split between Madison Hasty, who recorded five saves in the first 49 minutes, and Katie Musulman, who stepped in for the remaining time to add two more saves to the tally.
