Waleska, GA - In a challenging regular-season lacrosse match against DIII opponents, Rhodes College, the Reinhardt University Eagles faced a tough opponent on Saturday afternoon in Waleska, GA. RU battled the entire game, but the Eagles ultimatley fell short with a final score of 16-9 to Rhodes.
The first half concluded with the Eagles trailing 9-6, and despite strong performances from several players, they could not bridge the gap in the second half.
Lacrosse players Lawna Henry and Lainey Byrne each contributed 2 goals, while Brooklyn Hill scored 1 goal and provided an assist. Marissa Davis and Kelsey Sowa also added 2 goals each.
On the defensive end, Madison Hasty guarded the goal for majority of the game and played a great defensive game, saving 13 shots. Angelina Ruiz & KC Bragg each recorded 2 caused-turnovers.
Looking forward, the Eagles aim to rebound in their next game on Thursday, February 27th, when they will face Life University away from home at 4pm. As the season progresses, the team currently holds a record of 1-2 overall.
