Georgetown, KY – The Reinhardt women's lacrosse team traveled to Kentucky to match up against AAC opponents, the Georgetown Tigers, on Wednesday afternoon.
After a stellar offensive performance from the Eagles, they earned the 18-6 win to improve their record to 8-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
Ru's first goal came early from Shelby O'Neil and this extended to 6 unanswered goals to end the 1st quarter. Then in the second, RU extended their lead with another 6 goals to Georgetown's 2. Finally, the second half of the game saw RU score 6 more to close out the 18-6 win over the Tigers.
Offensively, Anna Marie Gazzo led the way offensively, totaling 5 goals and 1 assists. Jillian Mello also had a great performance, earning 4 goals and 1 assists. Shelby O'Neil, Macy Fulton, and Hailey Ririe each added 2 goals each.
Defensively, Emma Perritte caused 3 Georgetown turnovers, while Mia Griswold, KC Bragg, and Ashley Steele added 2 CTs. Shelby O'Neil and Macy Fulton each added 2 ground-balls.
