RU Women’s LAX Secures the 13-3 WIN at Oglehthorpe!!
Atlanta, GA – The Reinhardt women's lacrosse team traveled to play neighboring school, Oglethorpe University, on Sunday afternoon to earn the 13-3 win.
The first quarter saw the Eagles score 6 unanswered goals from 4 different RU players. In the second, RU went on another run to go up 11-1 at halftime. Finally, RU scored one in the 3rd and one more in the fourth to secure the 13-3 win. Jillian Mello played the biggest role in the offense as she was able to score 4 goals and earned 2 assists. Kelsey Sowa and Brinley Christiansen each scored 3 goals of their own as well. Defensively, Shelby O'Neil caused 3 Oglethorpe turnovers and Madison Hasty picked up 9 total saves.
The next game for the Eagles will be an away match-up this upcoming Saturday, March 2nd, at 1pm versus SCAD.
