AAC Women's Lacrosse Awards Announced

WALESKA, Ga. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference announced the 2023 Women's Tennis All-AAC Team and Awards on Thursday.
Bella Ricchiazzi of Cumberlands is the Player of the Year, Jillian Mello of Reinhardt is the Offensive Player of the Year, Emma Rittman of Cumberlands is the Defensive Player of the Year and the Freshman of the Year, and Kelly Buikus of Cumberlands is the Coach of the Year.
The awards were voted on and selected by the women's lacrosse coaches of the AAC.
15 players earned a spot on the All-AAC First Team with 15 making the second team. Dozens of players made the grade to earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, while seven were named to the Champions of Character Team.
For the Reinhardt Eagles, Mia Griswold, Jillian Mello, Shelby O'Neil, Anna-Marie Gazzo, Ashley Steele, and Angela Sciacchitano were named to the AAC 1st Team All-Conference. Macy Fulton was named to the 2nd Team All-Conference! Mello was named to the Champions of Character Team!
Eleven Eagles were named to the All-Academic Team and those names are listed below.
