Eagles Celebrate The Seniors & Record a Dominating Win Over St. Andrews 31-0
Waleska, GA – The Reinhardt Eagles celebrated Senior Day in a dominating 31-0 win over AAC opponents, the St. Andrews Knights on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles honored 5 seniors including Jillian Mello, Adriana Talkington, Kyra Byrd, Syd McHale, and Rachel Denton. These Seniors have played a big part in Reinhardt's success and have embodied what an Eagle athlete is for their team and for their school. Reinhardt controlled this entire game and their offense was hot from the opening draw control. The Eagles were able to score 13 goals in the first quarter, forcing the game to a running clock just 8 minutes into the game. Reinhardt's offense stayed getting balls through the net and held St. Andrews scoreless to win 31-0 over the Knights. Seniors, Kyra Byrd and Syd McHale were also able to score their first ever career goals as Eagles. Anna Marie Gazzo led the offense with 5 goals and 1 assists. Jillian Mello also played a great game, totaling 4 goals with 6 assists. The Eagles are now sitting with a 5-1 record in the AAC and are 9-4 overall. This was a great win for the Eagles as they only have one game left before heading into the conference tournament that the Eagles will get to host at their home stadium.
