Week 5: AAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Mia Griswold of Reinhardt and Anna-Marie Gazzo of Reinhardt are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the fifth edition of the weekly honors for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 27.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Mia Griswold - Reinhardt - Sophomore - Newnan, Ga.
- Helped Reinhardt to a 2-0 record on the week.
- Caused 4 turnovers.
- Had 26 groundballs and 10 draw control.
- Also scored 4 goals and had 6 assists
- This is her second weekly award this season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Anna-Marie Gazzo - Reinhardt - Junior - Suwanee, Ga.
- Tallied 10 goals and 2 assists in helping Reinhardt to a 2-0 record on the week.
- Posted 6 goals and 2 assists in a 16-3 win over Georgetown.
- Had 3 groundballs and 2 caused turnovers as well.
- This is her first weekly award this season.
