Week 1: AAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Mia Griswold of Reinhardt and Mac Miller of Georgetown are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the first edition of the weekly honors for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 27.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Mia Griswold - Sophomore - Freshman - Newnan, Ga.
- Recorded 7 groundballs and had 8 draw controls in the 20-11 win over Oglethorpe (Ga.).
- Caused 2 turnovers.
- Scored 1 goal and had 3 assists.
- This is her first weekly award this season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Mac Miller - Georgetown - Senior - Fishers, Ind.
- Tallied 9 goals and 1 assist in helping Georgetown to a 1-1 record on the week.
- Scored 7 goals and had 1 assist in a 16-12 win over Thomas (Ga.).
- Had 3 groundballs, 5 draw controls, and 2 caused turnovers on the week.
- This is her first weekly award this season.
