Eagles Compete at Blue Mountain Spring Classic in Mississippi
West Point, MS - Reinhardt Men's and Women's Golf competed at the Blue Mountain Spring Classic on Monday and Tuesday. The tournament was hosted by Blue Mountain College at the Old Waverly Golf Course. The course was 72 par/7,089 yards on the men's side and 71 par/6,040 on the women's side.
The men's tournament had 17 teams and 92 golfers. Zane May was the top finisher for Reinhardt and he placed 9th overall shooting +2 overall. His three rounds were +9, -6, and -1. The -6 score in round two was the best round of any Reinhardt golfer.
May was followed by Trey Schmidt, who finished 28th overall with a +11 total for his three rounds. He shot a +2, +1, and +8 in his three rounds. Finishing up the men's team was Pride Dyer (42nd place), Robbie McMillan (46th place), and Eli Howren (49th place).
The team total for the men's side was +34 with their best round being round two where the team was even par. They placed 7th overall as a team.
On the women's side, Caroline Goddard was the top Eagle placing 39th overall out of 67 golfers. She shot +47 for her three-round total. Her best round was +12 in her third round.
Goddard was followed by Samantha Ropert, who placed 45th overall with a three-round total of +51. She was followed by Isabelle LoBlue, Samantha Hillhouse, and Alaina Harris.
Next up for the Eagles is the AAC Qualifiers in April. The AAC Women's Tournament will be held on April 14th and 15th at Governors T&CC in Acworth, GA. The AAC Men's Tournament will be held on April 28th and 29th at Barnsley Gardens Resort in Adairsville, GA. Coach Evans Nichols and Reinhardt Golf will be hosting both conference tournaments this year!
