Reinhardt Eagles Secure Thrilling Overtime Victory Against Kentucky Christian
Grayson, KY. - In a stunning display of resilience and skill, the Reinhardt University Eagles came from behind to win their latest AAC conference basketball game against Kentucky Christian, finishing with a score of 90-78 in overtime on Saturday night.
Trailing 29-55 at halftime, the Eagles faced a daunting deficit. However, the second half saw a phenomenal team effort led by standout performances from Noelle Lavery and Laphina Campbell. Lavery, who scored a game-high 29 points, including a critical last-second 3-pointer to push the game into overtime, was key to the Eagles' success. Lavery also added 11 rebounds to earn an impressive double-double. Campbell supported superbly with a 22-point haul, along with grabbing nine rebounds and dishing an assist.
I'ziah McCutch also contributed to the scoresheet with 11 points, making significant plays that kept the Eagles in contention. The victory, marked by crucial free throws in the final moments of overtime, not only demonstrated Reinhardt's on-court prowess but also improved their season record to 16-5 overall and 12-3 in the conference.
