RU WBB Continues Perfect Season with Away WIN at St. Andrews 96-57
Laurinburg, NC –With only a few games left, Reinhardt picked up another win at St. Andrews University on Saturday afternoon, with a final score of 96-57.
After the tip-off, the first points came from a made lay-up by the SAU Knights but that didn't last long as RU's Julia Craft made two back-to-back 3-pointers that give RU the 6-2 lead. The run would continue for the Eagles as the 1stquarter ended with a score of 18-12. The Eagles then played great offensively as they had 25+ points in the following three quarters. The Eagles went almost 50% from the paint and was over 50% from the 3-point line, totaling 16 3-pointers.
Reinhardt's Julia Craft was the leading scorer and earned herself 24 points, including 6 3-pointers. Craft continues to prove herself as a leader and a huge offensive weapon for the Eagles this season. Freshman, Niya Moon, is also having a great opening season for her team as she recorded 18 points this game. Defensively, Avanna Preston had 3 steals, while Ashley Woodroffe and Niya Moon each added 2.
The Eagles now sit with an 19-0 record in the AAC and have a 23-0 record overall. The next game for RU will be an important match-up versus the #2 Bryan College on Wednesday, February 14th, at 5:30pm.
