Reinhardt Women’s Basketball Beats KCU to Extend Record to an Impressive 17-0
Waleska, GA – The Reinhardt women's basketball team are the only team in the AAC to still be undefeated both in conference play and overall. In fact, they are one of few in the whole NAIA to remain unbeaten as well. It continues as RU WBB earned another win at home versus the Kentucky Christian Knights 78-55.
Reinhardt got off to a quick start as they managed to outscore the Knights 26-12 after the first quarter. Throughout the rest of the match-up, Reinhardt stayed consistent and maintained the lead the entire game to ultimately clench the win and improve their record to an impressive 17-0.
Maria Sanchez Ponce had an all-around great game, leading her team in multiple statistical categories including 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals. Ty Williams also played a great game with 16 points and 2 steals.
The Eagles now sit with an 13-0 record in the AAC and have a 17-0 record overall. The next game for RU will be another home game versus the Columbia Koalas on Saturday, January 20th at 4pm.
