RU WBB Wins On-The-Road At KCU 84-54 To Remain Undefeated
Grayson, KY – The Reinhardt women's basketball team traveled to Kentucky Christian University on Tuesday night to earn the 84-54 win over the Knights to also continue their win streak to 12-0.
Reinhardt and KCU traded their scores through the first and second quarter to give RU the 27-26 lead at halftime. Then, the Eagles played a great third quarter to earn 27 points to KCU's 13. Then, the Eagles extended their lead even further in the fourth, scoring 30 points to earn a 30-point lead to finish the game.
Kiara Simpson came off the bench to lead her team offensively, totaling 19 points. Simpson also added 4 steals. Tarrah Gibson also played an outstanding game, earning a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The Eagles now sit with a 12-0 record overall and are 8-0 in the AAC. The next game for the Eagles will be an exhibition game on January 30th, at North GA at 1:30pm. Then, the Eagles will bring in the new year with a home game versus St. Andrews on January 2nd, at 5:30pm.
