Eagles 10-0 Run in 4th Quarter Gives RU WBB Advantage in Close Win over Bryan College!!
Waleska, GA – The Reinhardt women's basketball team played an impressive game to earn the win over Bryan College to remain undefeated and give the Lions their first loss of the AAC season.
Reinhardt and Bryan started out shot-for-shot, but the Eagles outscored the Lions with a bucket 17-15. The 2ndquarter was low scoring, but Bryan took the lead 25-21 heading into halftime. The third quarter remained close at 37-36 but the Eagles were able to go on a 10-0 run to start the 4th quarter that ultimately gave them the advantage to win 66-61.
Maria Sanchez Ponce played a great all-around game, recording a double-double with 17 points and 17 rebounds. Tarrah Gibson and Julia Craft each added 15 points of their own.
This was a great win for RU as Bryan was voted #1 in the AAC President-Season Poll. The Eagles remain undefeated with a record 7-0 and a conference record of 5-0. The next game for the Eagles will be a away game next Wednesday, November 29th, versus Columbia College at 5;30pm.
