ATHENS, TN. - The Eagles softball team played the Tennessee Wesleyan Bulldogs in an intense AAC double header on Wednesday afternoon with the finals scores of RU 3-2 & 8-7 TWU. The Eagles now sit with an overall record of 16-8 and are 13-5 in conference play.
Game One (3-2, RU):
The Eagles took command early in the game, gaining an initial lead in the first inning, which set the tone for the rest of the contest. Key players such as Eryn Lee and Taylor Wade were instrumental in scoring the crucial runs for Reinhardt. Taylor Wade not only scored two runs but also hit a significant double that contributed to the team's success on the field.
Ansley Hight was another standout player, driving in a vital RBI double that further solidified the Eagles' lead. Starting pitcher Anslie Pettit delivered a strong performance, keeping the Bulldogs at bay and helping secure the win for Reinhardt.
