Grayson, KY. - The Reinhardt University Eagles delivered a commanding performance in their AAC softball match-up against Kentucky Christian, securing a decisive 13-0 & 13-1 victory on Saturday afternoon, in Grayson, Ky. The Eagles, who improved their season record to 15-7 & 12-4 in the AAC, showcased their dominance early and maintained momentum throughout both games of the double-header series
GAME ONE:
Key players for the Eagles were pivotal in securing the win, with notable performances from Ansley Hight, Macy Langley, and pitcher Anslie Pettit. Hight and Langley not only contributed significantly through runs but also by hitting home runs, which bolstered the team's high energy and scoring. Anslie Pettit, the starting pitcher for Reinhardt, delivered a stellar performance by pitching a complete game shutout, allowing no runs and limiting Kentucky Christian to only five hits.
The Eagles' offense was in full swing as they tallied runs from multiple players: Ansley Hight (1), Macy Langley (1), Eryn Lee (2), Maddie Wright (2), Taylor Wade (2), Mallory Lumpkins (1), Izzy Forestier (1), Maggie English (1), and Addyson Garris (1).
