Columbia, SC. - In a compelling AAC conference showdown in Columbia, SC, on Thursday afternoon, the Reinhardt University Eagles secured a decisive 4-1 & 5-3 victory over the CIU Rams. The Eagles' performance on the field highlighted their dominance in the game, improving their season record to 11-7.
GAME ONE:
From the very first inning, it was clear that Reinhardt was in command. Ansley Hight's early home run set the tone for the game, providing the Eagles with an early advantage and showcasing the team's aggressive approach. Contributing significantly to the Eagles' victory, Maddie Wright crossed the plate twice, while Hight and Eyrn Lee each scored once. A. Hight, demonstrating excellent skill, also contributed with two RBIs, followed by K. Freije, who added another to the tally.
The pitching for Reinhardt was equally strong, with Anslie Pettit starting the game and playing a crucial role in maintaining the lead. The Eagles' strategic plays and solid defense helped keep the Rams at bay, confirming their superior form in the conference.
