The Eagles Traveled to Bluefield To Earn a Sweep in an AAC Doubleheader
BLUEFIELD, VA.- The Reinhardt Eagles Softball team continues their win-streak to eight, with an away doubleheader sweep over the Rams of Bluefield College on Thursday evening. The Eagles got off to an early start in both games, forcing the games to an early end of 6 innings only. Reinhardt took game one 12-1 and then won the next 9-1. Reinhardt is having a great season as they are sitting at No. 1 in the AAC with only a handful of regular-season games left before heading into the post-season. They have a record of 16-2 in the AAC and are 21-9 overall.
Game One: Reinhardt 12, Bluefield 1
Although Bluefield scored the first run of the game in the 1st inning, Reinhardt's offense shined for the entirety of the game, totaling 15 hits. On top of this, Reinhardt has two different players in Emily Loveless and Kylie Freije that had hit a homerun to help their team to this dominating win. The Eagles had 6 players with 2 hits and Senior, Lauren Parker played a great game with 4 RBIs. Molly Stevens and Taylor Wade added a triple while Loveless and Taylor Wade each added a double. The Eagles ultimately won 12-1 over the Rams before heading into game two.

Game Two: Reinhardt 9, Bluefield 1
Game two saw an early lead for the Eagles as they were able to score 3 runs in the top of the 1st inning. The hitting and runs continued throughout the rest of the game, forcing the game to end at 6 innings due to a big lead from Reinhardt. The Eagles led in the hitting category with 9 hits to Bluefield's 2. The Eagles ultimately won 9-1 to sweep the Rams of Bluefield in this 2-game series.

- Kyle Freije had a great day, going 3-4 at bat with an RBI. Emily Loveless went 1-2 in the game and had one 1 RBI and was able to score 3 runs for her team.
