Eagles fall to Georgia Gwinnett in Away Double-Header
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.- The Reinhardt Eagle softball team competed in a double-header at Georgia Gwinnett on Sunday, March 19th, where the Eagles ultimately fell in two tough games against the Grizzlies (9-6, 9-1). The Eagles now have the record of 13-6 and remain undefeated in their conference play with a 8-0 record.
Game One: Reinhardt 6, GA Gwinnett 9
Game one saw the Grizzlies recording the first five runs of the game, but in the fourth inning, a single from both Alexis Griffith and Molly Stevens led to the Eagles getting on the scoreboard 5-2. The bottom of the fourth saw multiple runs from the Grizzlies but Reinhardt answered in the fifth, scoring 4 runs, including three single-base hits from Kylie Freije, Ansley Evans, and Eryn Lee. The Eagles were able to get more hits and less errors than the Grizzlies but in the end, Reinhardt was not able to close, losing game one 9-6.
Leaders:
- Emily Loveless led the way, going 2-4 at the plate and was one of Reinhardt's runs.
- Molly Stevens, Kylie Freije, Ansley Evans, and Eryn Lee each recorded one RBI.

Game Two: Reinhardt 1, GA Gwinnett 9
Game two against Georgia Gwinnett saw a different fate for the Eagles as multiple errors, hits, and a sharp Grizzlies defense limited Reinhardt from bouncing back. A strong 3rd inning from the Grizzlies including 7 runs helped clench this 9-1 victory. Reinhardt totaled 5 hits and a hit from Kylie Freije allowed Reinhardt to earn their first and only run in the 4th inning.

- Leading at bat, was Emily Loveless who went 2-3 in game two. Eryn Lee and Tayor Wade each went 1-2.
- Kylie Freije recorded an RBI.
