Eagles Sweep Point 2-0 in Conference Match-Up

West Point, GA – The Reinhardt Softball team traveled to compete in a double-header versus conference opponents, the Point University Skyhawks. The Eagles ultimately swept Point 2-0 on the day, due to the 20 hits across both games. This was good win for Reinhardt as they have a busy week ahead, preparing for 4 more double-headers this week. The Eagles are now sitting at 4-0 in the AAC & 8-2 overall.
Game One: Reinhardt 4, Point 0
The Eagles were able to get a run on the board in the 1st inning of the game and then 2 more in the second. Going up 3-0 early in the game helped Reinhardt to a 4-0 win over the Skyhawks, who struggled to get their team across home-plate. The Eagles had 9 hits to the Skyhawks' 5. Emily Loveless and Kaylyn Jinks each went 2-3 on the game and Jinks had 2 RBIs. Whitney Shepherd was the winning pitcher with 7 strikeouts.
