Reinhardt Eagles Sweep Bryan in First Conference DH 2-0
Waleska, GA – The Reinhardt Softball team hosted its very first conference match-up of the season in a double-header versus the Lions of Bryan College. The Reinhardt Eagles were able sweep the day 2-0 over the Lions. The Eagles won both games 2 runs to 0. This was great start for Reinhardt as more conference games are ahead. The Eagles are now sitting at 2-0 in the AAC & 6-2 overall. Up next for the Eagles, they will be traveling to play Tennessee Wesleyan in a double header this upcoming Saturday, March 4th, at 1pm and 3 pm.
Game One: Reinhardt 2, Bryan 0
The Eagles were able to get a run on the board in the 2nd inning and then another in the 3rd. The Lions struggled getting anyone across home plate, remaining scoreless throughout the entirety of the game. The Eagles had 7 hits to the Lions' 1 and also had 0 errors. Ansley Evans was 2- for Reinhardt and Whitney Shepherd was the winning pitcher with 10 strikeouts.
SCORING PLAYS:
- Lauren Parker singled to center field, scoring in Hannah Singleton. (2nd inning, 1-0)
- Emily Loveless filed out to centerfield, SAC, to get Alexis Griffith across home plate. (3rd inning, 2-0)

Game Two: Reinhardt 2, Bryan 0
Although Bryan was able to get 7 hits to our 4, the Lions weren't able to get anyone across home. Our two runs both game in the 3rd inning thanks to a hit from Lauren Parker, scoring in the 2 winning runs. Ally Andriano was the winning pitcher with 8 strikeouts.
