Eagles Finish Season at AAC Championships; Vincent and Fisher Top the List

Knoxville, TN - In a spirited display at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Cross Country Championships, both RU Men's and Women's XC teams clinched 4th place finishes in a very competitive XC conference. Milligan has reigned supreme the past several years in the AAC, and other talents like Montreat, SCAD Atlanta, and Tennessee Wesleyan make things extremely competitive. The meet was marked by exceptional personal achievements and record-setting performances from several team members.

Leading the women's team, Rylee Fisher made a remarkable stride by setting a new school record with her time of 22:46, which also stands as her personal best. Alongside her, Brooke Simon and Noelle Dawes notably entered the school's all-time top 10 for the 6k, recording times of 24:33 and 24:38 respectively, each setting personal records. The rest of the women's team followed suit with numerous personal bests, highlighting a strong collective effort and improvement.

On the men's side, standout performances came from Tom Vincent and Benjamin Pearce, who set all-time records for their categories. Vincent recorded a personal best of 25:58, making him the 6th fastest senior in school history, while Pearce set a freshman record with his time of 26:29. These noteworthy achievements contributed to the Eagles' strong showing at the event, demonstrating the depth and talent present in the team. Pearce was named to the AAC All-Freshman Team.

The championships were not just about individual glory but also about team spirit and collective improvement. With numerous team members setting personal records, the future looks promising for the Reinhardt Eagles as they build on these performances for the upcoming seasons.
