RU Cross Country Sets Records at Chargers Invitational

Huntsville, AL - Reinhardt Cross Country competed in the University of Alabama-Huntsville Chargers Invitational early on Saturday morning. There were more than sixty men's and women's cross-country teams from the Eastern Seaboard of the United States. The teams included NCAA DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA levels which made things highly competitive.

The women's side had almost 300 total runners, and there were around 350 on the men's side. Rylee Fisher was the top runner for the women's team, with a time of 23:20 in the 6K. This was a personal record for Fisher and the second-fastest 6k time in RU/XC history. Tom Vincent had the top time on the men's side for the Eagles with a time of 25:59 in the 8k. This was also a personal record for Vincent and the seventh-fastest time for a senior in RU/XC history.

Below are other records and highlights from Saturday's event. Next up for RU/XC is the NAIA Challenge on Friday, October 25th. The women will be running a 6k again and the men will be running an 8k.
