Men Place 5th in Crowded Field, Simon Top Finisher for the Women
Knoxville, TN - On a chilly Friday morning, the Eagles Cross Country Team competed in the NAIA Appalachian Challenge which had powerhouse cross country schools like Milligan, Southeastern, and Montreat in attendance. It was a very talented and loaded field with some of the best runners in the nation competing.
Men's Team
The Men's Team finished in a very respectable 5th place overall out of 13 teams. Salvador Castillo led the way for the Eagles coming in 21st position in the 8K event with a time of 25:29. Tom Vincent and Braden Ray were not far behind in 32nd and 43rd positions overall with times of 26:12 and 26:23 respectively. The complete list of finishers for the Men's Team can be found below.
The guys team had the Second Fastest Team Time (1-5 Average Time) in School History.
Women's Team
For the Women's Team, Brooke Simon would lead the way again coming in 32nd position out of 120 runners and she had the time of 19:38 in the 5K event. Also competing for the Women's Team were Carly Harrison with a time of 23:24 and Sarah Timmerman with a time of 24:33.

Personal Achivements
This concludes the regular fall season for Eagles Cross Country, however, they still have the AAC Championships which is on Friday, November 4th in Columbia, SC. The NAIA National Championships will take place on Friday, November 18th in Tallahassee, FL for those that qualify after the AAC Championships.
