Week 2: AAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Salvador Castillo of Reinhardt is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2022 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 19.

AAC Men's Runner of the Week
Salvador Castillo - Reinhardt - Junior - Dalton, Ga.

• Won the GMC Brickyard Invitational with a time of 26:27.82.
• Field contained a total of 54 runners for the 8K race.
• Helped Reinhard to a first-place team finish with a score of 15 points as the Eagles collected all of the top five spots.
• This is his first weekly award this season.
