Oakland City, IN. - The Reinhardt men's volleyball team played in thier last regular-season games before heading to the AAC Tournament. RU played in a trimatch on Saturday, where Reinhardt won both games 3-1 over Jamestown & Oakland City.
RU vs. Jamestown
The match commenced challengingly for the Eagles as they lost the first set 15-25. However, they quickly turned the tide by winning the subsequent sets 25-20, 25-23, and 25-22. This comeback highlighted the team's tenacity and ability to perform under pressure.
Key performances came from Jakub Aniolczyk and Gabriel Gutierrez, each contributing 15 kills, followed by Andrea Forcina with 10 kills. The blocking efforts were led by Christian De Leon with an impressive count of 10, reinforcing the defense alongside Aniolczyk and Forcina who contributed to the blocking front. Digs were notably made by Alex Sanchez, accumulating 14, and complemented by efforts from Bruno Dewes and Gutierrez. The aces came from Aniolczyk, Forcina, and Sanchez, adding to the team's dynamic offensive game.

From the onset, the Eagles faced a tough challenge, dropping the first set 19-25. However, demonstrating unmatched resolve, they bounced back brilliantly to claim the next three sets (25-14, 25-14, 25-22). Notably, Gabriel Gutierrez led the charge with a stunning 12 kills, followed closely by Jakub Aniolczyk and Andrea Forcina, who both notched 9 kills apiece.
The defensive efforts were equally impressive, with Christian De Leon making a notable impact by securing 4 blocks. Forcina and Aniolczyk also contributed significantly to the defensive game, which was key in turning the tide in favor of Reinhardt.
