Babson Park, FL. - The Eagles traveled to Webber International this weekend & took on two games. The first game was against St. Thomas, where RU ultimatley fell in 3 sets. However, the Eagles bounced back in the following game against Webber, securing the victory in 5-sets.
Game One:
The match opened with St. Thomas taking the lead, clinching the first set 25-18. The Eagles fought fiercely in the second set, almost evening the score, but narrowly missed with a 26-24 conclusion. The final set saw the Eagles succumbing at 25-17, marking a decisive win for St. Thomas. Despite a robust effort from Reinhardt, the match ended in a sweep, adjusting their impressive season record to 18-5, including 11-2 in conference plays.
Key performers for the Eagles were Gabriel Gutierrez, who led with 11 kills and 6 digs, followed by Jakub Aniolczyk with 9 kills. Gutierrez also contributed with a significant block. The defensive framework was fortified with Christian De Leon leading in blocks, securing 3 for the team.
