Reinhardt University Eagles Celebrate Senior Day with Sweep Over St. Andrews
Waleska, GA - The Reinhardt University Eagles men's volleyball team celebrated Senior Day with a decisive victory over the St. Andrews Knights on Saturday morning. The Eagles could not have scripted a better outcome, sweeping the Knights 3-0 in an AAC game held at their home venue in Waleska, GA.
From the start, the Eagles dominated the match with stellar performances across all sets. They took an impressive lead early on, winning the first two sets with identical scores of 25-11. The third set saw a bit more resistance from the Knights, but Reinhardt closed it out at 25-19, sealing their victory. Key player Gabriel Gutierrez led the attack with 7 kills, followed closely by Jakub Aniolczyk with 6. On the serving end, Andrea Forcina, Bryce Zentkovich, and Alex Sanchez each recorded 4 aces, keeping the Knights on their toes throughout the event.
The match also served as a tribute to the graduating seniors—Bruno Dewes, Rayner Sarmiento, Ethan Keung, Christian De Leon, and Bryce Zentkovich. Their contribution over the years has been integral to the team's success, and they were celebrated for their dedication and achievements.
With this win, the Eagles improve their impressive season record to 17-3, remaining undefeated in conference play at 10-0. Looking ahead, their next challenge will be an away event at the Webber University POD on April 4th & 5th, where they will face Warner University at 4pm on Friday.
