RUMVB Earned Their 9th Sweep of the Season Against TMU at Home
Waleska, GA. - The Reinhardt University men's volleyball team dominated against the Truett McConnell Bears in their AAC conference match-up on Tuesday night in Waleska, GA. The Eagles clinched a clear victory with a 3-0 sweep, marking their ninth sweep of the season and bolstering their impressive record to 14-2 overall, with a flawless 7-0 in conference play.
From the on-set, Reinhardt established their dominance with confident wins in all three sets, finishing 25-17, 25-14, and 25-13 respectively. Gabriel Gutierrez led the offense spectacularly, contributing 11 kills and pacing the defense with one block and six digs. He was well-supported by Jakub Aniolczyk and Cade Cochran, who also posted significant numbers in kills, lending strength to the team's comprehensive victory.
The defensive game was equally strong, with Alex Sanchez registering a notable 10 digs along with three aces. Ismael Gamero added critical blocks to the scoreboard, ensuring that the Eagles maintained control throughout the match. The teamwork was further highlighted by Ethan Keung's impressive 23 assists, which facilitated the team's powerful and consistent attacks on the Bears.
The Eagles are set to face Emmanuel College next at an away event on Tuesday, March 18th, at 5pm.
