RU's Dalton Fellows Earns AAC Defender of the Week!!

WALESKA, Ga. - Diego Martinez of Life is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Volleyball Attacker of the Week, while Dalton Fellows of Reinhardt and Carlos Pinto of Life are the Defender and Setter of the Week, respectively.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the 10th and final edition of the awards for the 2024 season.

AAC Attacker of the Week
Diego Martinez - Life - Senior - Cupey Alto, Puerto Rico

  • Helped Life to a 3-1 win over Cumberland (Tenn.).
  • Averaged 3.50 kills per set and posted a .417 hitting percentage.
  • Had 14 kills against Cumberland
  • Had 5 digs and 2 blocks.
  • This is his first weekly honor of the season.

AAC Defender of the Week
Dalton Fellows - Reinhardt - Graduate Student - Hopewell Valley, N.J.

  • Averaged 2.83 per set in helping Reinhardt to a 2-0 record on the week.
  • Recorded 17 total blocks with 5 solos and 12 assisted blocks.
  • Had 5 kills.
  • This is his second weekly honor of the season.

AAC Setter of the Week
Carlos Pinto - Life - Freshman - Planalto, Brazil

  • Averaged 10.50 assists per set as Life beat Cumberland (Tenn.).
  • Registered a career-high 42 assists.
  • Had 3 kills, 1 ace, and 4 digs.
  • This is his second weekly honor of the season.
